During-conference Policy

PROGRAMME CHANGES

​

It may be necessary for reasons beyond miniEnterprize's control to change the content and timing of the programme, the speakers, the date or the venue at any time prior to the event date.

EVENT MATERIALS

​

In most circumstances, event materials will be issued and used on the day of the event. The documentation is made available only to the attendees of miniEnterprize organized events. Event materials and delegate handbooks are provided for the sole use of the attendees and may not be reproduced whether in whole or part, shared, or distributed by any method whatsoever without permission of the copyright owner - miniEnterprize.

As an initiative to preserve the environment, miniEnterprize will not provide any physical copies of the delegate handbook/how to case comp guide. MiniEnterprize recommends all attendees to download a digital copy of the delegate handbook/how to case comp guide from our website.

ILLICIT SUBSTANCES AND ACTIVITIES

miniEnterprize holds zero tolerance on illicit substances and activities, including but not limited to: alcohol consumption, tobacco consumption, illegal substance consumption (including all types of vape products and  marijuana), and all activities that cause inconveniences for other attendees. miniEnterprize reserves the right to remove delegates from the conference premises if they are caught violating any of the policies mentioned above.

CASE AND ACADEMY INTEGRITY

miniEnterprize highly values academic integrity. Attendees are subject to disqualification from the competition if they are caught sharing the case before their designated times or committing any act of academic dishonesty.

SPEAKERS

​

External speakers are responsible for the content of their respective sessions. It is the policy of miniEnterprize to give the fullest freedom to contributors/speakers to express their opinions. The opinions expressed by the speakers do not necessarily represent the views of miniEnterprize and miniEnterprize affiliated personnel. miniEnterprize will make every effort to ensure the validity and accuracy of the information provided by external speakers.

TRAVEL

miniEnterprize accepts no liability if an attendee is unable to attend an event due to adverse weather conditions or any travel disruption. miniEnterprize does not offer free parking spaces at UBC Buchanan and reserves the right to use venues which may incur a car parking charge.

FILMING AND SOUND RECORDING

​

miniEnterprize reserves the right to film, record, or photograph any of the speakers and attendees at an event for post-event purposes.

Post-conference Policy

MEDIA USAGE

​

Following the event, attendees will be able to access the photos taken during the event on the miniEnterprize Facebook page. These photos may only be used for personal purposes and may not be used for commercial and advertisement purposes.

Registration Policy

REGISTRATION

​

If you have any problems with your registration, please contact administration@minienterprize.org.

Only the primary contact can make amendments to a group booking.

Registrations are subject to availability and therefore we cannot guarantee you a place on any event.

CONFIRMATION

​

Registration confirmation will be sent to your email immediately for all online bookings.  If you have not received an email confirmation within 24 hours of making the online booking, please contact the Director of Administration.

PAYMENTS TERMS AND DISCOUNTS

​

Payment must be made at the time of booking unless specifically stated.

TRANSFERS

​

If you cannot attend the event, you can transfer your place to another individual. Places can be transferred at any time up to two days before the event. Please note that an additional charge may be applicable if the new attendee is not entitled to the same registration rate.

​

Should the new attendee need to make any amendments to the booking, miniEnterprize will require the original attendee to confirm the changes.

CANCELLATIONS

​

If miniEnterprize has to cancel the event, our liability in the event of cancellation is limited to a full refund of the event fee only. We will not refund the following:

  • Any travel or hotel costs associated with the cancellation of an event.

  • Any fees relating to the joining of a Faculty or community with respect to the event booking.

All cancellations and subsequent transfers must be made in writing and sent to administration@minienterprize.org

​

miniEnterprize does not issue any refunds for cancellations on the attendee's part, unless it is for a reason of illness or COVID-19.

​

miniEnterprize accepts no liability if an event is canceled or postponed for reasons beyond our reasonable control resulting from an act of God, government regulation, fire, war, natural disaster, terrorist activity, or civil commotion.
